Nick Schlappi aka “Schwarzmarsch,” Rapecast blogger, Iron March forum member & fascist

The Background
Thanks to an anonymous online leak of data and materials from influential Neo-Nazi website Iron March where the white supremacist terror groups Attomwaffen Division, Vanguard America, and National Action (among many others) formed, we were gifted with a trove of identifying information about Iron March users. Iron March forums was an internet chat room dedicated to the proliferation of anti-Semitic, racist, Islamophobic, homophobic rhetoric and actions.  Members of the forum expressed sympathy toward Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik and the Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof, as well as the ’60s cult leader & murderer Charles Manson.

The released information includes a full copy of the Iron March content including usernames, users’ posts and links, along with sensitive details such as the email and IP addresses used to register usernames, plus private messages. All of that data, including the information shared in the private messages which include personal details are the framework which we use to identify users. The raw data is available for download and it was built into a searchable and more accessible website by Jewish Worker.

Iron March user & racist anti-Semite “Schwarzmarsch” has been identified as Nick Schlappi, of Clarkston, Michigan.

The Trace & Confirmation

Nick changed his email address on his Iron March account from nickschlappi909@gmail.com to @gmail.com. This e-mail change is captured in the original Iron March SQL dump, and a concise review of these e-mail changes can be seen here.

Nick says that he was 15 years old in May of 2017, which makes him 18 or 19 now. He additionally tell us that he lives in Southeastern Michigan [source]. His IP address also points to Waterford, Michigan.

Nick Schlappi is from Clarkston, Michigan. The name, age and location all line up. Clarkston is right next to Waterford MI, where the IPs trace. Nick was also in his high school’s German club and hockey team [source 1, source 2].

Based off a publicly available search engine, we are able to find an old Lake Orion newspaper connecting Nick Schlappi to his sister and mother [source]:From there, using another search, we find the flight crew of Hubby Wife Crew Life blog [source], where they confirm living in Michigan with their three children.

Then we jump to the social media sites and we find his sister’s family vacation photos with the only teenage male wearing a “Made in Detroit” shirt.

Does his face match the German club photo?
Folks, we have ourselves an identification on fascist and potential Atomwaffen member, Nick Schlappi.

Nick  participated on Iron March until the forums were shut down. He has quite some words to say about the Holocaust [source].


He was being courted by the Michigan cell leader of the Atomwaffen Division Jack Espinoza aka “Black Israelite.” He admits to reading Siege at the time. For background, Siege is a series of newsletters written in the 1980s advocating for race war, cell-structured terrorism, and white revolution [source] and serves as the ideological underpinning of several different Neo-Nazi organizations, including the Atomwaffen Division. Nick moved on to taking the Iron March exam administered to different Iron March users by Iron Marcher administrator “Alex Slavros” (identified recently as Alisher Mukhitdinov). Nick failed, missing almost every single question [source].

He seems to know a lot about Nazi memorabilia though [source].
We find his username thestorm57463 listed on a WordPress site for “Rapecast” as the author of a post and signed “Schwarzmarsch” [source, archive]. The original post was removed for content violations, but we have provided an archive. The Rapecast site was hosted by several Neo-Nazis on Iron March as a propaganda platform to distribute their readings, original Neo-Nazi propaganda, and content, plus recruit new members. It was a particularly vile website, whose content was quickly taken down for content violations.
Due to his young age at the time of his engagement with the Iron March forum and being interested in joining the Michigan Atomwaffen cell, we reached out to his family members in December. We alerted them to his activities and offered to connect them to individuals who specialize in helping white nationalists leave the movement. As of publication of this dossier, we have received no response.
